The 14th Beijing Film Academy Animation Academy Awards

The 14^th Beijing Film Academy Animation Academy Awards was held during October 30^th to November 1^st, 2014. This academy awards improve the development of Chinese animation education industry, especially the international exchange and researching exploration of the Chinese animation. The events received art works over 3000 pieces which covered the five global continents. Those works mainly came from the animation-strong countries like the United States, Britain, Japan, France, Israel, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and other rising stars of animation. At the same time, there are over100 colleges and universities which attended the event, which covered every province in China and include institutions across the country major well-known film and television, art colleges and universities. It is the highest specification and the largest scale animation study events. The award section is the most wonderful section. The works from Beijing Film Academy, Communication university of China, Beihang University, Tainan National University of Art and France, the United States and other 100 works finalist works competed for the numerous awards.

   Finally, the work “Jump” from Communication University of Shanxi wined the Cogito Toon Boom award.

In order to push the internationalization of the Chinese animation, the host held 12 lectures at the same time. The experts from DreamWorks Studios, British Film international investment Ireland animation production association, expers in animation industry and students made close discussion and communications.

This event not only showed the new results which are full of cutting edge and experimental audio visual innovations and which are from varies countries and areas, but also was the audio-visual feast of current east-west cultural communication. All the exhibits were representing the highest level of global animation education and industry. It is a very influential and international top animation general platform, and also the largest cultural communication among China.
