The current situation and trend of industrial design.

At present, industrial product designers tend to be younger in average age, they focus on the traditional design performance, design communication, design engineering, but also pay more attention to computer design performance. At present, there are numerous industrial design-related software in the market, and we need a software of  precise and practical design. Excellent design software allows designers to get away from pure manual drawing design, which will give designers full play to tap their imaginations on computers and improve their work. This will improve work efficiency and save resources. 

1.  industrial design

Industrial design (also known as ID) is based on industrial mass production, involving many other emerging interdisciplinary subjects like science and arts.

During the long period of time in the past, there are many arts and crafts factory, but the design and manufacture of products were called arts and crafts, it was used mainly for people to appreciate, it act as the role beautifying people’ life. And our industrial products only focus on high strength and high reliability, stress the use of certain functions, which overlooks other functions and effects of products, which seem quite bad in appearance.

Modern industrial products can not only free people in terms of physical function, but also to allow people to gain pleasure in spirit.

The International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) defined industrial design in its annual meeting in Paris in 1980,"In the case of mass-produced industrial products, products gain new quality and qualification in terms of its the materials, structures, forms, colors, surface processing and decorations which are imparted by means of training, technical knowledge, experience and visual perceptions."

Narrowly speaking, industrial design focuses on the materials, structures, shapes, colors, surface processing and decorations of the product, giving a new product a new quality, and that is what we usually referred to as industrial product modelling design.

Broadly speaking, industrial design can not only give tangible products quality, it also runs through the whole process of development and marketing of product, and even include the creation of product brand and its specific cultural value.

Modern industrial design has already become an important bridge making connections between technology and application, enterprise and consumer, reality and future.

By looking at the experience of the developed countries, industrial design plays a very important role in the development of a country. With the rapid development of China's economy and the progress of science and technology, the development of industrial design in China has seen great potential in the near future.
