The 8th animation contest and the 7th animation contest awards ceremony—Cogito animation and Art School of Capital Normal University signed school - enterprise strategic cooperation agreement

The contest and ceremony had three parts. First, it was the launching ceremony of the 8^th animation contest. Lihui Gong, the chancellor of Capital Normal University, made a speech. He made a brief introduction of Capital Normal University, and sent the hope that the animation contest will be successful.

Professor Jun Zhang who is teaching at China Communication University also made a speech. He gave out four suggestions and claims. He pointed out that the creative theme of animation should embody humanistic concern; the visual performance of the animation is worthy of industry-depth study; the plot of animation should be unexpected but reasonable; the people who work for the animation industry should focus on the future.

Capital Civilization Foundation’s director Xiaoqi Lou, China Academy Award Secretary General Yi Wang all made wonderful speeches about the development of animation culture and the history of China Academy Awards respectively. Mr. Wang thanked Cogito Animation especially. He welcomed the arrival of Cogito animation’s manager and director and thanked Cogito animation’s support to the China Academy Award.

The ceremony screen the 8^th animation contest’s opening video. It mainly emphasized the status and role of animation and cultural creation industry in Beijing’s and Chinese economy. The cultural creation industry is the core of economic development. Thus, China Fashion & Color Association initiated China Academy Awards.

Then the 7^th animation contest award ceremony started next. The awards included individual awards, bronze award, silver award and golden award. 100 winners stood out from more than 2000 attenders and got those awards above.

The conference announced the Capital Normal University School of Arts and Cogito Animation to establish and sign the school-enterprise strategic cooperation agreement. Cogito’s manager Rich Yu attended this signing activity.  This is a great chance to develop themselves and Chinese animation industry for Capital Normal University School of Arts and Cogito Animation. Hope the two can create more and better animation works under the cooperation and support of the two, and can enrich and further develop and expand the China's animation industry.
