Communication University of China’s School of Theater, Film and Television and Cogito Software Co., Ltd. signed strategic cooperation agreement

June 30^th afternoon, Communication University of China’s School of Theater, Film and Television and Cogito Software Co., Ltd. strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held in Communication University of China’s School of Theater, Film and Television. Ling Guan, the dean of School of Theater, Film and Television and Rich Yu, general manager in Cogito Software, Ltd. signed on the cooperation agreement respectively. People attending the signing ceremony also included Jiye You, director of administrative office of School of Theater, Film and Television, Yiwen Zhou, head of department of Fine Arts of School of Theater Film and Television and other teachers.

In recent years, Chinese movie industry developed very quickly. VR, the representative of advanced digital imaging technology, emerges the great prospect. The promotion of viewing experience and interactive effects which was brought by VR devices pushes the Chinese movie industry into a brand new stage. Many Chinese universities and colleges and internet corporations also start to explore and apply the technology, content and other aspects. The Internet age has brought endless possibilities. Movies, which went through the 110-year history ushered in new opportunities. The signing of strategic cooperation agreement wants to catch this opportunities, push Chinese movies and VR industry to close to foreign countries’ manufacturing level and improve the application of imaging technology in China.

School of Theater, Film and Television built outside school’s professional training base in Cogito, so that to provide good practice platform and part of projects which is prepared for practical education.

The leaders of the two sides agreed that the establishment and cooperation of the “The Future Image” Training Center (Laboratory) of Visual Effects will give full play to their respective resources and advantages to jointly promote the sustainable development of digital video art. It also opened the School of Theater, Film and Television and Cogito’s new chapter of cooperation of industry, manufacture and research.
